Perspective of the Somnath Temple:
The height of Somnath temple is about 155 feet. The Kalash placed on the top of the temple weights about 10 tons and its flag is 27 feet high and 1 feet in circumference.
There is a huge open area around the temple. The entrance of the temple is artistic. The temple is divided into three parts. Statue of Vallabhbhai Patel, Rani Ahilyabai etc. are also establish outside the temple. Situated on the edge of the sea, this temple looks very beautiful.
Unsolved mystery of arrow(बाण) pillar
To the south of the temple is the arrow pillar by the sea, which is very ancient, the mention of the arrow pillar is found in history from about the 6th century, but no one knows when it was built, who did it and why.
Experts say that the arrow pillar is a guiding pillar, at the top of which an arrow (बाण) has been made. Whose face is towards the sea.
It is written on this arrow pillar, Asamudrant South Pole, unobstructed Jyotimarg(आसमुद्रांत दक्षिण ध्रुव, पर्यंत अबाधित ज्योतिमार्ग) this means that there is not a single obstacle or obstacle in the straight line from this point of the sea to the South Pole.
The simple meaning of this line is that if a straight line is drawn from that point of the Somnath temple to the South Pole, that is, to Antarctica, then not a single mountain or piece of land comes in the middle.
Now the biggest question is, did people even know in that period that where is the South Pole and the Earth is round? How would they have found out that there was no obstruction in the straightness of the arrowhead? It has remained a mystery till now.
17 times the temple was attacked
The history of Somnath temple tells that the temple was attacked a total of 17 times and each time the temple was renovated. But there is no effect of any period on the temple.

Mamleshwar is situated on the south bank of Narmada, a little away from Omkareshwar. There is also a story behind the establishment of this Jyotirlinga which we are describing here.
How Omkareshwar-Jyotirlinga was established:
Once Narayana devotee sage Narad Muni Giriraj reached the Vindhya mountain while roaming around. There he was received with great respect.
Vindhyachal said that he is full of all virtues. Also said that he has no shortage of anything. They have all kinds of wealth. The arrogance in them was clearly visible. In this sense Vindhyachal stood in front of Narad ji. Shri Narad ji is also called the destroyer of ego.
In such a situation, he thought of destroying the ego of Vindhyachal. Narad ji told Vindhyachal that he had everything. But you know about Mount Meru which is much higher than you.
The peaks of that mountain have become so high that they have reached the realms of the gods. I think your summit will never reach there.
Saying this way Narad ji moved from there. Hearing his words, Vindhyachal was very sad. In this regret Vidhyachal decided that he would worship Shiva. He made Shivlinga of clay and he started doing severe penance of Lord Shiva. He worshiped Shiva for many months.
Shiva was pleased with her penance and appeared to her. Shiva asked Vidhyanchal to ask for a blessing. He told Lord Shiva that if you are pleased with my penance, then give me the desired wisdom to accomplish the task. Shiva fulfilled the blessing sought by Vindhyaparvat.
At the same time the gods and some sages also reached there. All of them requested that the Jyotirlinga located there should be divided into two forms.

For this he needed the blessings of Lord Shankar. The Pandavas traveled towards Kashi to see Shiva Shankar. But Shankar ji did not meet him. After this the Pandavas reached the Himalayas looking for them.
But Lord Shankar did not want to give darshan to the Pandavas. In such a situation, he finally settled in Kedar. But the Pandavas also followed Shankar to Kedar. Because they were all firm in mind.
After the arrival of the Pandavas, Lord Shankar took the form of a bull and joined the rest of the animals. The Pandavas got some doubt on this. So Bhima assumed his gigantic form.
Then he spread his feet between two mountains. All the cows and bulls came out from under them but Shiva was not ready to come out from under them in the form of a bull.
Still, he pounced on the bull with full force, but the bull i.e. Shiva Shankar started meditating in the land. Then Bhima grabbed the triangle part of the bull's back.
Lord Shankar was very pleased with this because devotion and determination was clearly visible in the Pandavas. After this Shiva appeared to the Pandavas and freed them from sin.
