The best time to visit Bir Billing is during the months of April to June i.e. in summer. During the monsoon season, heavy rains occur and there may be a risk of landslides and temperatures fall to zero in winter. October and November are the ideal months for paragliding from autumn and March to May. The best time to visit Bir is from March to June and from late September to November.
Way to reach Bir Billing
There is no direct flight or rail connection to Bir. Ahju railway station is the nearest railway station, which is only 3 km. The nearest broad gauge railway station of Bir is at Pathankot, which is 142.2 km. While Gaggal, Kangra Airport at Dharamshala, is the nearest airport, 67.6 km from Bir. Pathankot railway station is connected to major cities of the country and Dharamshala airport is connected to Delhi and Kullu. Tourists can take taxis or buses from Pathankot to Bir. Other airports close to Bir are Chandigarh (290 km), Amritsar Airport (260 km) and New Delhi (520 km).
